Get Ready for Woody Harrelson vs The Apes! That’s exactly what we are going to get in the third chapter of the newest iteration of the Planet of the Apes Saga, ‘War For The Planet Of The Apes.’ Don’t take my comment as mockery, I’m really looking forward to this. Andy Serkis has done a tremendous job bringing depth to his character, Caesar, and the idea seeing him and the rest of the ape army go up against a “ruthless colonel,” as played by Harrelson, sounds like it could be a hell of a lot of fun.

Just ahead of NYCC, the studio has released this teaser/ digital billboard for the film that uses some mildly edited audio from the last film. Now, as Caesar puts it, War has ALREADY begun! Fans will get to see the first footage at the con over the weekend, and we can only hope that a trailer could be coming our way as well.

Along with Serkis and Harrelson, War For The Planet Of the Apes also stars Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Karin Konoval, Amiah Miller, and Terry Notary. The movie opens on July 14, 2017.

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
