Since its official reveal at SDCC, feedback for Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” has been tremendously positive. So positive that Sony is already moving ahead with a sequel and has set a release date for it despite the first film still being in production.
According to Deadline Sony has set the release date for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” as May 2, 2014.
“I think it speaks volumes about our confidence in what we are seeing on the new film and our desire to move quickly on the next installment,” a Sony Exec revealed.
Meanhwhile, in the present… “The Amazing Spider-Man” starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary and is set to be released on July 3rd, 2012.
