If you haven’t seen Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty from Dan Harmon (Community, Scrubs, Cougar Town) and Justin Roiland (Fish Hooks), then are are missing something pretty damned spectacular. The show is funny, action filled, coarse, philosophical, and at times a little bit sad, but it’s one of those shows that has become standard viewing in my house.
Now, just a few episodes into Season 2, it has been announced that we will be getting at least one more season. This has to feel really good for Harmon who has struggled with his last two series to get renewals every year.
There’s still a lot more that can be done with this story and the universe where it takes place. To celebrate, let’s all watch the music video from an episode a couple weeks ago, Mortynight Run – Goodbye Moonmen featuring a voice that should be familiar to fans of Flight of the Conchords.
One more treat. In case you missed it, Rick and Morty took over the couch gag on the season finale of The Simpsons:
