Fans were bummed out last week when news hit that Robert Downey Jr would not be coming back for a fourth Iron Man. Now we’ve got news that he’ll be coming back for Captain America 3. The film will kick off Marvel’s film adaptation of the Marvel Civil War. If you don’t remember it, Tony Stark and Captain America ended up on opposite sides of an argument over whether super heroes should be allowed to have secret identities. It led to the super hero registration act and a slew of heroes going underground as fugitives because of their refusal to submit to the new law.

According to the folks at Marvel, this will:
“…drive the plots of sequels and new franchises for the next seven years as Tony Stark’s actions will have huge ramifications for a FOURTH Avengers movie which will possibly see the likes of Ant-Man and Doctor Strange assemble as a new team. “
