Rose McGowan has been cast to play an evil half-human witch in Marcus Nispel’s “Conan” reboot. It’s unsure how much of a role she will have, with Stephen Lang’s character being the primary antagonist, Khalar Singh.
McGowan will complete the cast and join Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis), Stephen Lang (Avatar), Ron Perlaman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) as filming begins in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Unlike the previous Conan films which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, the reboot will feature a much younger Conan who sets forth to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village. “Conan” is based on the Robert E. Howard books.
Lionsgate will handle the U.S distribution of the film.
