I’m not sure if this qualifies as a spoiler at this point, but I’m going to guess that if you are reading this site than you’ve either already seen TDKR or you are never going to. Either way, I am not going to feel too bad about discussing the following subject.

As you may remember from the the final scene of The Dark Knight Rises, Joseph Gordon Levitt’s character is given the keys to the Batcave. Now word is spreading that he will take up the mantle of Batman and will be the Batman featured in the upcoming 2015 Justice League film.

In a big turn of events yesterday, Zack Snyder back-peddled on his past statements that his Superman would have no connection to Justice League.

Now, the rumor is that Warner Bros has approached Gordon Levitt to don the cape and cowl as a way to help bridge the Justice League to their most popular superhero franchise ever, the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy.

In fact, Motion/Captured is reporting that Gordon-Levitt is close to a deal that would lay out a long-term plan for him in the new JL franchise.

From here on out it is all speculation, but the rumor is that we may see Batman before the Justice League film by way of a post-credits scene at the end of Man Of Steel.
