It was just a few weeks ago that we heard Terrance Howard was booted from the Iron Man Sequel. Now, rumors are swirling that non other than Nick Fury’s head my be on the block.
As just about everyone knows by now, Sam Jackson is Nick Fury in Iron Man and he’s slated to reprise the role in several movies leading up to and including The Avengers. there’s even talk of a Nick Fury and the Howling Comandos Movie. For months now, he’s been talking about how excited he is to play the role, but the quotes we’ve picked up from the LA times show that something unpleasant might be underway.
“there seems to be an economic crisis in the Marvel Comics world.” “There was a huge kind of negotiation that broke down. I don’t know. Maybe I won’t be Nick Fury. Maybe somebody else will be Nick Fury or maybe Nick Fury won’t be in it.”
Marvel still insists they wan him in the role, so there’s a good chance that the groups are just wrestling over cash. Let’s hope.
