Martin Scorsese is not generally known for his work in horror films, so Shutter Island is a bit of a surprise to most of his fans. I’m sure they’d call it more of a thriller than a horror flick but that’s just a snob thing. There are ghosts. Its a horror movie. Get over yourself.
Anyways, while this might be one of is first ventures into this genre, he’s definitely doing it up big. Along for the ride are Mark Ruffalo, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ben Kingsly. The movie is the story of two investigators who are looking into the strange disappearances in a Massachusetts prison island.
