Audience members got their first peak at Platinum Dunes’ reboot of “A Nightmare On Elm Street” at SDCC today.
In the trailer, we see a young Freddy Krueger being chased by an angry mob into a building which they then set fire to. We slowly see the transformation as Krueger screams being engulfed in flames and rips off his jacket to reveal his green and red sweater.
The origin story quickly ends and we transition to present day Freddy where he’s haunting teenagers. A girl is yanked from her bed and onto the ceiling. We get our first look at Jackie Early Haley in Freddy prosthetics. All in all, it looks just like how’d you expect Freddy to look. No real changes were made and the trailer itself, while short, seems pretty solid and consistent with most reboot/remakes we’ve been seeing out of Hollywood.
