It is very rare that a movie star loves a character so much that they go back and make their own fan film of them after another actor has replaced them in the film series. That is what makes Thomas Jane so special.

His passion for the project that he was not only able to recruit director Phil Joanou, but he also got Ron Perlman to appear. The short is called “Dirty Laundry.”

It will be interesting to see how this effects the future of the film franchise as well as seeing what Marvel has to say about this Rogue production.

Here’s what he had to say about why he made the film:

“I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.”
