I’m still not sure why the edward Snowden movie is at Comic Con. I guess if you’ve got Joseph Gordon Levitt and Oliver Stone willing to hit Hall H, you don’t say no.
At the panel, the unveiled their special Comic Con trailer. I’m not really sure what to say about it. It looks like a decent Oliver Stone movie. It’s got a great cast that includes Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans, Nicolas Cage, Scott Eastwood, Joely Richardson, Timothy Olyphant and Ben Schnetzer. I’m just still not sure why we are talking about it during Comic Con. I’d actually go as far as to say that bringing it to the con is not in the spirit of the event. Personally, when I think of San Diego Comic Con, I don’t ever think of politics. The closest you might get is when the Westboro Baptist Church pickets and the cosplayers dance around them. Especially given how this year has gone, it would have been nice to keep Comic Con a fun zone.
