If you were wondering how long you’ll hopefully be holding on to the edge of your seat on December 18th, they’ve just announced the length of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

JJ Abrams has just announced the film will have a run time of 2 hours and 15 minutes. This is actually right in line with the other six Star Wars films which were all between 2:04 and 2:20. The shortest film in the franchise is actually The Empire Strikes Back.

Editing for the film finished on November 3, with one final recording session set to happen with John Williams.

Less than Five weeks…
