Variety is reporting that Steven R. McQueen - the grandson of Steve McQueen will be playing the role of Jeremy in their new blood sucking drama: The Vampire Diaries.

The show, based on the series of novels written by L.J. Smith are about a pair of vampire brothers, one good and one evil who are locked in battle over the soul of a young girl, her friends and her family.

This young Steven’s first foray into Television. Some of his other credits include:”Everwood” and “CSI.

While the pilot has been ordered, there’s no word on when we might get to see the new show. One can only guess that it will be a mid season replacement for one of the CW’s other horror themed shows: Reaper (which premiers this week!) and Supernatural.
