Season 2 of Stranger Things just came out a few months ago, but season 3 can’t come fast enough for fans of the creepy Netflix series. While news about the new season has been relatively sparse, today we got news of two great actors joining the cast in the way of Cary Elwes and Jake Busey. Cary Elwes is best known for his roles in The Princess Bride, Saw, and a great recurring role on USA’s Psych. Jake Busey is probably best known for his work in Starship Troopers and for the fact that his dad is Gary Busey. He’s set to appear in the upcoming Predators film from Shane Black.

Elwes is set to play Mayor Kline, described as “handsome, slick, and sleazy …your classic 80s politician — more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs.” Meanwhile, Busey will be joining the show as a Hawkins Post journalist named Bruce. He’s being described as “a journalist for The Hawkins Post with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.”

The two characters definitely seem to tease a storyline that will at least partially focus on the reporter trying to uncover all the nasty things that had been going on around the town and a mayor who is probably being paid off to keep his mouth shut. We’ll find out for sure when the series hits Netflix for its third season sometime in 2019.
