Fans will always wonder what could have been if Donald Glover had been cast as Spider-Man. Sure, he got to voice Miles Morales in the cartoon for a bit, but that’s just not the same. Word is that he’s now being looked at for another huge franchise role, the part of a young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo Film from Phil Lord and Chris Miller. If he is a part of the story, that means we might finally get to see how a young Han won the Millennium Falcon away from the hustler with a heart of gold.

There’s also word that the film makers are close to casting their female lead for the film. All we currently know is that they’ve got it narrowed down to four actresses and they are all non-white. It will be interesting to see a younger Han deal with romance. Perhaps it was this relationship that helped turn him into the scoundrel that Princess Leia couldn’t resist.

The Han Solo movie begins filming in early 2017 and hits theaters May 25, 2018.
