While some critics have been mixed as to how they feel about Swiss Army Man starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe, it’s impossible to deny that it is one of the most unique films to hit the screen in years. It’s one of those films that I really wish Roger Ebert were still around to talk about it.

If you aren’t familiar with the film, all I can tell you without spoiling it is that it’s about a guy trying to get home (Dano) with the help of the world’s most useful dead body (Radcliffe).

A big part of making the film work relies on the special effects wizardry of Jason Hamer. Today, the studio has just released a new featurette that gives some insight on how he created the dummy that would do everything from light fires to work as a jet ski.

If you haven’t seen anything on the film yet, check out this trailer:

In other news, this means that somewhere out there, there’s a full lifecast of Daniel Radcliffe. Imagine the possibilities for the Real Doll industry…
