The American movie market doesn’t matter all that much to studios anymore. Sure, they say that it does, but they real focus is on Asia, especially the Chinese movie going public. Why else would Bruce Willis go to China to get a life-sized chocolate statue of himself presented to him at the premier.
One of the biggest movies on the horizon for the Chinese market is Transformers 4. In fact, it is such a big deal over there that they actually held a reality show aimed at finding some unknowns to appear in the film.
Now, the show is over and decisions are made. Four new people are joining the cast based on how well they did in the tv show.
Out of the over 70,000 people who applied, the show chose Byron Li, Austin Lin, Candice Zhao and Teresa Daley yo join the film as “Kung Fu Fighter,” “computer geek,” “sexy goddess” and “cute loli.”
