I know what you’re thinking. We don’t need another Transformers movie… we need at least 4! That’s about the time that you realize someone has switched out your IPA with Ayahuasca and you are tripping harder than a nun on a slippery marble staircase.

Sadly, this wasn’t just a hallucinogenic fever dream. We’ve known for a while that there would be a new Transformer trilogy and some spin-offs, but there was some hope out there that a comet might hit us first. Well, thanks to Deadline, we now know just how long we’ve got before an astral body kisses our planet and shuffles us off this mortal coil.

The new report has Transformers 5 set for June 23, 2017, Transformers 6 for June 8, 2018, and Transformers 7 on June 28, 2019.

If that’s not enough Michael Bay style robot action, we’ve also got the brand new announcement about one of the coolest characters from the old cartoons and comics who has been pretty much castrated by the films, Bumblebee.

Here’s what the Hasbro people said today:

This summer we worked closely with a talented team of A-list screenwriters to map out the future of the Transformers cinematic universe, and as Brian announced earlier, things kick off in a major way in 2017 with the release of Transformers 5 in June. And we’re working on a spin-off movie centered around Bumblebee for 2018 and the next chapter for 2019.

…Yay.
