I liked Underworld, and didn’t hate the second one. The third one was abysmal and I honestly didn’t even know that they made a fourth one, but they must have… cause now there’s a fifth.
What’s even more shocking than the movie even being filmed is that they were able to get Kate Beckinsale and Theo James return as Selene and David. Also returning is Game of Thrones Tywin Lannister), Charles Dance as vampire elder Thomas.

The film will reportedly be a soft relaunch of the franchise and focus on a new war between the next generation of vampires and werewolves. No release date has been announced as of yet.
