Not wanting to waste any time, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment has begun preparing for the “Green Lantern” sequel as well as jump starting “The Flash” franchise.

Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim have been hired to pen the scripts for both “Green Lantern 2” and “The Flash.” The trio had originally penned the first “Green Lantern” film which is currently in production and will debut next year staring Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern.

Realistically, both “Green Lantern 2” and “The Flash” will not begin filming until sometime next year and possible after “Green Lantern’s” debut. I can only assume that WB would want to first see how well “Green Lantern” does before deciding on the next course of action.

With Marvel Studios crossing over their heroes, I don’t see see why WB wouldn’t want to do the same. After all, Hollywood is heavily monkey see, monkey try to 1-up and do. With Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) and Barry Allen (Flash) being friends and a part of the Justice League, it wouldn’t surprised me if this marks the beginning of a Justice League movie. It’s definitely an exciting time for comic book fans and I personally can’t wait to see which DC properties gets the silver screen treatment. *cough*wonder Woman*cough*
