By now, you have all heard about the tragic shooting in a Colorado movie theater that has taken the lives of 12 people and resulted in injuries to fifty more people. You also probably know that it isn’t over yet because police and fire departments are now trying to figure out what kind of booby traps are in the shooters’ apartment so they don’t end up with more death and destruction.
Now, thanks to the intrepid journalism of Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood, that one of the trailers paired with the film was the new trailer for Gangster Squad, the 1940’s mob movie Starring Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Anthony Mackie, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, and Holt McCallany. One of the scenes in the trailer features a gangster shooting moviegoers in a movie theater from behind the screen.
It took till late this morning and until after Deadline’s Finke complained directly to the studio for them to pull the trailer from the film.
