A few years ago, there was a news of a Thundercats CGI movie that was being made under the guidance of Jerry O’Flaherty, art director Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3. In 2009, some of the art for the movie leaked and that was the last that anyone heard anything… for good reason. Lion-O looked like absolute garbage. The plot of the movie was supposed to follow him from cub to king, but he just looked like Goku had a three way with a house cat and some random Final Fantasy character.
Now, some test footage has shown up and we can all breathe a major sigh of relief that this craptastic adaptation will never be able to poison movie screens.
It’s pretty funny, I’ve had some reservations about the new Thundercats 2011 cartoon that is coming out later this year, but watching this actually gets me excited for the new series. After all, there’s no way it can be worse than this!
