Watchmen entered into its second weekend at the box office, but what was being hailed as being a masterpiece has already dropped two #2 in the wake of the release of Race to Witch Mountain. The Disney remake starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson brought in a respectable $25 million on 3,187 screens in its opening week while The Zach Snyder super slow motion fest earned an anemic $18.07 million on 6,611 screens. That’s a drop over nearly 67% over its opening last week.

While Witch Mountain may have claimed the crown for the weekend, there were no true winners as theater attendance dipped to a 13 year low for the weekend.
