Contact Music reporting that Sigourney Weaver, who co-starred in the first 2 Ghostbusters movies will not be taking part in the third. This comes as a big surprise as just a few months ago she had mentioned talking to Bill Murray about story ideas for the movie and how she would definitely be in it.
Here’s what she had to say on the matter:
“I think they’re trying to create something new completely with the Ghostbusters, although I know Bill is in it. I don’t expect to have anything to do with it, although I wish them well.”
According to the report, Aykroyd is writing a story where the original Ghostbusters hand over control of the business to ities to a team of hot young ladies. That would explain the rumors we’ve been hearing about Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku.
