Unless you are living in a cave, you know that The Watchmen hit the big screen with a vengeance this weekend. The R rated Superhero flick based off the Graphic Novel by Allan Moore showed up on 3,611 theaters around the country.

in its first weekend the film made $55.7 million dollars. Normally this would be a great opener, but WB was hoping to hit at least $70 million domestically which would have been on par with Zach Snyder’s “300” and would have made Watchmen the #1 R rated opening of all time.

To say the critics and viewers response to the film was mixed is an understatement. While people like Roger Ebert gave the film 4/4 stars, one friend of mine said he paid $10 for his ticket, but he’d like a $12 dollar refund.

So now that the film has finally been released, what did you think of it?
