Buried in the news about Joeseph Gordon Levitt being cast in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, was a little extra info about another actress, Juno Temple. According to Variety, Temple is deep in talks for a role in the film. Supposedly, she’ll be playing a street smart Gotham girl.
Now, unless they are going to mess with the timeline of the existing Nolan Batman universe, Barbra Gordon will still be way too young to be Batgirl. That pretty much leaves Robin as the biggest possible role.
It wouldn’t be the first female robin. Heck, Frank Miller’s Dark Knight had a girl as Robin. It almost sounds like they are considering pulling a little bit of a gender swap on the Tim Drake Robin.
