The Goji Play is the latest invention from the creator of Guitar Hero. This difference is, instead of playing games and pretending you can rock, you are actually playing a game to trick you into forgetting that you are actually working out. If you have a friend who loves video games, but hates exercise, this is a great gift. Using your cell phone and any piece of cardio equipment (treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals ), you can convert your workout into a trip to the arcade. You just clip the sensor to your body like a fitbit and then sync up the wireless controllers to your phone or tablet. It becomes your gaming screen and you are off to the races playing 20 different games ranging from jet ski racing, to boxing, puzzle games and more. The harder you work out, the faster you go in the games and the harder you hit your opponents. Sadly, they haven’t set it up to make WoW players get on a treadmill during quests, but for everyone else, this is one of the coolest new advancements in video gaming and health that we’ve seen in a long time.

Sea Monkeys can go suck Barnacles. THe Dino Pets are here and they are way cooler. Who needs brine shrimp when you can have bioluminescent dinoflagellates. Ya, that’s right… Living sea creatures that inhabit a see through dinosaur and glow in the dark. There really isn’t much cooler than that. That said, as awesome as the Dino Pet from Bio Pop is, we want to make sure you don’t get it for really little kids. These little dinoflagellates don’t need much care, but they do require a little patience before the glowing really gets cooking. Because of that, we’d probably say to aim this towards kids 12-120.

iFetch
Do you have a smaller dog who loves to play catch? This is the perfect gift for your four-legged friend. iFetch is a super awesome device that does the playing for you. You just turn it on and your dog and iFetch do the rest. All you have to do is drop the balls into the top of the machine (your dog will figure this part out really fast) and then it will toss the balls for you. It works great indoors, and you can even adjust how far it throws the ball, just in case you don’t want your dog tearing all the way across the house. Our one word of caution would be this. This is best for smaller dogs. The balls that come with the iFetch are 1.5 inches. It is great for Yorkies, Pugs, Dachshunds, and the like, but we wouldn’t recommend it for larger dogs.
