Ink Whisky Nintendo Style Drinking Flasks

If you’ve got a friend who likes retro gaming as much as they love to drink, this might just be the perfect gift for them this year. Ink Whiskey’s video game flasks not only look exactly like classic NES cartridges, but they are adorned with some very punny fake game titles and art for games like Drunk Hunt, Kega Man, Super Bar Hop Bros, and Castle Vodka just to name a few.

Waring Popcorn Maker with Melting Pot

f you need a gift for a family this year, and you’ve got a couple dollars to spend, this is the thing you want. Waring Pro’s popcorn maker with melting pot is getting a lot of use around the office. We loved this thing for a couple of reasons. First, it works really well and makes some of the best popcorn we’ve had in awhile. Second, and equally important. It is self contained. You aren’t having to go to the microwave or the stove to get your popcorn toppings. If you love popcorn, you need this in your life!

The Oxx Coffeeboxx

The OXX Coffeeboxx is not one of those dainty little single serve coffee makers that looks cute on your counter. This is the coffee maker that takes that one out back and kicks it’s butt. Yes, it’s still a K-cup coffee maker at heart, but this is the most rugged coffee maker we’ve literally ever come across. It was designed to be used on construction sites, while out in your RV, or possibly in your command tent while invading Russia in the dead of winter. If there’s any drawback, it’s that the coffeemaker is a little on the husky side, (just over 12 lbs), but then gain, try dropping your keurig off the back of your tailgate and see if it’s still giving you that hot caffeine injection a couple minutes later. No, your keurig would be dead, and the OXX would be dancing on its grave and serving up 10 8 oz cups per refillable water tank until the cows come home.

Tovolo Precision Cutting Mats

Description
If you’ve got a cook in your life, or someone who watches too much Food Network and thinks they are one, this is a great gift or stocking stuffer for them. These cutting mats actually make you smarter. Along with working as a great cutting surface, they give you visual guides for how big different types of cutting styles should be from Large Dice all the way down to Brunoise or fine Julienne. They also give you measurement conversions, which comes in really handy. Best of all, they come in a two pack that has two different colors. This is actually super important because it helps the cook keep them separate and prevent cross contamination between things like vegetables and raw meat. I really hate it when people get veggies on my meat!

Geddes Farms Blazing Hot 100% Natural Ghost Pepper Honey

Wow, we have to admit that we didn’t think we’d like this when it came in for review. That’s actually what makes it an even better gift. This honey is delicious. It is hot as the fires of hell, but in the best, tastiest possible way. Grab a jar of this for the spice lover in your life, but also grab one for yourself. We especially recommend using this honey for making spicy glazed carrots or some of the best best honey hot wings you’ve ever had.

Mamma Nessie Colander Spoon

It is rare that you find something for the kitchen that is simultaneously adorable and super functional. The Mamma Nessie Colander Spoon is one of those things. It’s a very wide mouthed spoon with a colander built in. It’s perfect for when you just want the stuff in the soup, but don’t actually want the soup, or if you are making pasta, dumplings, even Matzah balls! Oh, and did we mention that it looks like the freakin Loch Ness Monster!?!?

Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise Sushi Set

Beam us up Hiro, this awesome. We would usually say that the Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise Sushi Set is the kind of thing that you should only get for fellow trekers, but we’ve got to say, this is one of the more stylish sushi sets we’ve seen anywhere. Yes, it does have the U.S.S. Enterprise on it, but to someone not initiated into the world of sci fi, it’s just got a super shiny soy sauce compartment and built in, blue chopsticks! There are times when you see things on Thinkgeek and you figure that there’s no way that it could be that cool in person. Trust us when we tell you, this sushi set is even cooler!

Star Wars R2-D2 Bento Lunch Box

Let’s just check off all the boxes on how cool this gift item is, shall we? Bento box? Awesome! Shaped like R2-D2? Double Awesome! Wait… has a built in sandwich stamp of the Death Star in it? Mind. Freakin. Blown! Honestly, we really do love this bento box. The only caveats that we’d give you are that it’s a better gift for adults than kids (no way, some mook doesn’t steal this in the lunchroom), and while it can fit a lunch, it’s not going to fit a huge lunch. So, if you are really hungry, we’d leave it home and order a pizza.

Joseph Joseph Microwaveable containers and cookers

If you are looking for a gift for the college student in your life, you really couldn’t do much better than the Joseph Joseph Microwaveable containers and cookers. In short, they make cooking in a microwave not suck. We tested out one of the bowls. We heated up soup in it that normally would have turned most bowls into flaming hot burninators. It was perfectly comfy to pick up. Next, we tested out their rice cooker. Rice in the microwave is not something we ever figured was possible. It was light and fluffy and didn’t taste at all like burnt rubber. We wish this stuff was around when we were in college.

Tovolo Gingerbread Ice Cube Tray

There’s not really much to describe here. We just thought that these seasonal ice trays were freakin cute and they are the perfect thing to stuff in someone’s stocking, or a great addition to a host basket for the kind person who is cooking your holiday dinner. If that kind person is you, just treat yourself!

Tovolo Winter Wonderland Cookie Cutter and Stamp

This is another one of those items that goes great in a stocking or a host gift basket. We loved the compact nature of these cookie cutters. Basically, all of the stamps (there are six different Christmas style designs), all fit snugly inside the actual cookie cutter. It makes it extremely easy to knock out consistant Christmas cookies with a bunch of different great designs.

Tovolo Skull Ice Molds

Let’s face it, holiday themed ice cubes and cookies are cool, but you aren’t going to use them all year round. Skulls however, never go out of season. The reason we picked the Tovolo Ice Cube Skull mold is because it was one of the best ones out there. A lot of the skull molds end up with ugly seams on the ice cube. This is not only unsightly, but it makes the cube melt faster (in our opinion). More importantly, these aren’t just skulls, they are pirate skulls!

Finex Cast Iron Skillets

A good cast iron skillet is the kind of thing that can last for generations. It makes a great gift for someone who loves to cook, as well as for newlyweds. Good cast iron skillets will get fought over in divorces. Most people don’t even fight that much over who gets the dog. What we loved most about the Finex skillets is, well, a lot. First, they are made in the USA by hand. Second, they make sure to get a super smooth polish on their pan surfaces. this helps create a good non-stick surface and means that more food ends up on your plate, and not burnt to the pan. The also pre-season the pans with flaxseed oil. All in all, there’s really no better cast iron skillet out there.

Dragon Cake Pan

Bundt cakes, are awesome, especially around the holidays. Now, if you’ve got a baker in your life who loves Game of Thrones or Dungeons and Dragons, Thinkgeek’s Dragon Cake Pan is perfect. The detail that you get on the actual cake is pretty spectacular. We made a Guinness and Gingerbread cake in it and everyone was pretty much shocked at how cool it looked.

Chili Herb Infuser

This is another great stocking stuffer or host gift for the holidays. Herbs can add a ton of flavor to a pot of food, but keeping all the stems and leaves out of the finished product can be a pain in the butt. The Chili Herb infuser works sort of like a tea infuser, but it is 3-4x larger. This gives you the chance to pack it with herbs and then just pull the whole thing out at the end, without any of the hassle.
