Not too long ago, we reported that Jim Carrey was in talks to join the cast of Kick Ass 2 as Colonel Stars. Now it looks like the talks are over and he is officially signed on for the role. Good thing too, filming begins in six days.
His character is the founding member of Justice Forever and his job is to recruit other heroes to join the team.
He will be joining Aaron Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicolas Cage, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
To help make things official, Wadlow, the director tweeted this out to fans:
“6 days till we start shooting… and we officially have our Colonel. Alrighty f’n then!”
Kick-Ass 2 is set for a June 28th, 2013 release.
