Whedon and Spurlock are teaming up to produce a documentary about the lives of superfans attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Joss Whedon of the recently canceled “Dollhouse” fame is interested to include Neil Patrick Harris in his guest directorial debut of Fox’s surprise hit “Glee.”

Whedon has won the award for “achievements in new media and technology” a nod most likely due to his web short “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog.”

Despite a DVR-induced ratings bump, the show’s overall poor ratings and mixed reactions just wasn’t enough to sustain Joss’ vision.

“We’ve been planning it [sequel to Dr. Horrible] pretty much from the minute we finished the first one.”

It seems like FOX is going to go back to their old ways and bending over a Joss Whedon show like a pretty boy in a prison shower.

“We’re going to run all the episodes,” Fox scheduling chief Preston Beckman said. “We’re not saying we’re happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don’t have to overreact.”
