Disney’s Oz The Great And Powerful has been tearing up the box office like a tornado through Kansas. You won’t be able to see the movie at home for a while, but at least Disney has now released the opening online.

I’m still not sure if I like the full CGI style of the film they are doing that is similar to Alice In Wonderland, but this is a beautiful piece of artwork.

Remember when movies had actual practical sets and not George Lucas style Green Screen abysses? Ya, me too…

Disney has announced that Sam Raimi’s “Oz The Great and Powerful” has started production and will begin filming in Michigan.

“The Wizard — a snake-oil salesman posing as a magician — enters Oz via a hot-air balloon, which he uses to escape an angry husband who has found out that Oz slept with his wife.”
