I know what you’re saying, there’s got to be a way to put the fun back in funeral, but several funeral directors are now suggestion that taking selfies with the departed is not the answer. They don’t have a problem with people taking photos with their dearly departed. The issue seems to come from the fact that those selfies are now finding their way on to social media and that can be hurtful and disrespectful to the families.

It has reached a point where many funeral homes have had to post written rules that ban selfies, but undeterred attendees just hide their phones until the last second and then snap a shot for Instagram.

On the opposite side of the argument, there are some that say the selfies can help with the grieving process, but just keep in mind that no one wants to see your dead grandma popping up in their feed.
