It all started as a personal quest for John Hodgman. He wanted… more than anything, to find a video on the internet of a man dressed up as DR. Zaius from Planet of the Apes, doing an impersonation of Mark Twain. Surprisingly, the internet failed. Enter comedian Dana Gould.
a few nights ago he appeared on stage at one of Hodgman’s shows in full Dr. Zaius regalia where he did a perfect impersonation of the elder ape from POTA impersonating America’s most beloved storyteller.
If you are a fan of Mark Twain or Planet of the Apes, this is the funniest thing you’ll see all day. If not, It is probably one of the weirdest things you’ll see all day.
