Unable to find support from their own mayor, Dave Bing, Detroit has since turned to the Internet for help to help raise funds for the construction of a Robocop statue.
The Criterion Collection has launched a Kickstarter project for $50,000 to honor Detroit’s most iconic son. As of publication, there are 538 backers and $11,941 has already been raised! I cannot stress how much we need this to happen. Imagine if 50,000 people just pitched in a buck!
