We loves super cuts, amazing montages of some of the greatest moments in film, all broken down into one super specific area. Today’s area is the straight down shot or, the ‘God’s Eye View’.

In this angle, “The camera lens is perpendicular to the subject without any POV reference, which gives the viewer an omniscient viewpoint of the character and the surrounding space.”

See how many of the films you can name in this clip. There are dozens and they are some of the most powerful shots from the history of cinema.
