Improv everywhere is the master of the absurd street performance. For their latest gag, they went to prospect park in Brooklyn, NY with the concept of the public mute button. They placed several actors around an area, each of them doing something loud like fighting, dancing, playing saxophone… then, when the ringleader lifts his sunglasses, everyone goes mute. The effect is pretty hilarious. Everyone continues doing what they were, but without any sound. It’s worth watching just for the faces of the spectators who have no idea what is happening.
I have some old stoner friends from college who would have had melt downs if this happened while they were walking by.
Also, is it just me, or is that guy fighting with his girlfriend one of the guys from Colleghumor?
