In a plan that makes far more sense than harvesting wind energy from Taco Bell eaters, Moya Power London is looking to generate power from the wind energy that’s created by passing trains. The move is part of a plan to start finding more and more natural generators of power within nature and society.

The great part about a plan like this is that the London Tube already exists, and is filled with trains that run almost 24/7. That eliminates the need to develop a large portion of the infrastructure. The actual power generation is done with lightweight sheeting material to harvest low grade wind power.

If the pilot program is successful, this is the type of expandable plan that can be used in all subway tunnels around the world.
