Caroline Estes, owner of Amazonia Aquariums is pulling the mother of all Black Friday publicity stunts.
The North Austin tropical fish and aquarium store owner hopes to pick up slumping business this Black Friday by going topless.
Estes, hopes that the publicity stunt will help boost sales for her store which opened in 1992 but recently moved. Between the recession and the move, sales are down.
“I’ll save my business with whatever it takes,” said Estes.
Estes is no stranger to this kind of publicity. In 2001 she organized a topless protest in Austin, demanding the police recognize citizen’s rights to go topless. The event attracted national attention.
