Tasteless tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki is receiving some negative PR for stuffing her bra and butt to “imitate” Serena Williams during an exhibition match in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
The 22-year-old tennis star received some cheap laughs from an immature crowd but most are upset and for fairly good reasons.
“When a white woman makes fun of a black woman’s body, especially in a way that hypersexualizes her and draws on the stereotype of black women’s big butts, it’s racist,” writes one feminists blog.
But Williams’ representative says: “It was all in good fun as Serena is one of her closest friends on tour.”
Like expected, Williams handles the controversy with much needed class.
