Uh waiter, there’s a Weta Bug in my salad.

According to Telegraph, the Weta Bug is one of the largest insects ever on record. It weights as much as three mice and has a seven inch long wing span. A 55-year-old former park ranger has been credited for its discovery.

Mark Moffett, discovered the cricket-like creature up a tree on New Zealand’s Little Barrier Island. He spent two days searching for the creepy crawly which were thought to be extinct after Europeans brought rats to the island many years ago.

Picture below is the Weta Bug, big enough to eat a carrot! I don’t know about you but the Weta Bug looks like something out of “District 9” to me.
