A woman climbed to the roof of her seven-floor apartment building and threatened to jump because her husband forgot her birthday. Hmm, overreact much?
Police in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province of China, rescued the woman known as Gao after she shouted from the rooftop that she was going to end her life and jump. The 35-year-old’s husband had left for work without wishing her happy birthday, China Daily reports.
Neighbors phoned police who, after failing to convince the woman to step away from the edge, pulled her to safety by distracting her.
Gao’s husband was alerted to the situation and returned home, promising to throw her a lavish party later that evening.
I’d hate to imagine what’d happen if he forgets their anniversary. What is she going to do? Burn down the apartment?
