‘Away’ – First Trailer For Hillary Swanks Mission To Mars Series From Netflix

Right about now, a nice long flight to Mars sounds pretty good. After all, we’ve all now become experts in social distancing for at least three months and that’s half of the time it takes to get there!

The new Netflix Series, Away is going to take us on this journey, with Hillary Swank leading a team of international astronauts on an epic voyage. Adding to the excitement around the show is that it comes to us from Penny Dreadful creator, Andrew Hinderaker, is being executive produced by Friday Night Lights creator Jason Katims, and the showrunner is Parenthood’s Jessica Goldberg.

Joining Swank on the adventure are Talitha Bateman, Mark Ivanir, Ato Essandoh, Ray Panthaki, and Vivian Wu.

In the near future, a manned spacecraft is sent to Mars. For this high-stakes mission, a crew of elite astronauts are assembled from around the globe. They hail from the United States, Russia, China, India, and Great Britain. If all goes well, they will be away from the place they call home and the people they love for three years.
