By the end of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie had taken his place as the new Captain America and it looks like his first big-screen adventure with the mantle could be coming sooner than later. In a short interview on the red carpet of last night’s Country Music Awards, he mentioned that he’s getting ready to start filming in just a few weeks and that he’s doing a lot of working out and eating chicken breast to get ready.
Interestingly, Mackie also said that he’s about to start filming the Streaming adaptation of the classic PlayStation game, Twisted Metal for Peacock. It sounds like that project is going to get filmed before Captain America 4, so there’s a good chance that “in a few weeks” could mean in 3-4 months.
