In a recent chat Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn confirmed a couple big things about the upcoming Star Wars films. Here’s what we know now.
1. The casting is just about set and will be announced shortly.
2. While principal photography has not really begun, there has been some second unit work done in Abu Dhabi, which is going to be the location for Tatooine.
3. The films may return to May release dates with Episode 8 or the first stand alone film.
Along with these confirmations, we also got some news from another chat he gave today at Loyola about the budgets for the films. According to his chat, we now know that each of the films will have a budget of “around $175 million to $200 million.”
