News is starting to fly fast and furiously on the upcoming MCU sequel – Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While it’s been known for a while that both Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong will both be back and that Elizabeth Olsen will be on hand to play Scarlet Witch, but now we are seeing multiple reports that Chiwetel Ejiofor will be back as Baron Mordo for the new sequel. As cool as that news may be to fans, it sounds like we could have some even bigger news about the film and the Multiverse part of the title.
MCU Cosmic is reporting that Strange and Scarlet Witch may find themselves coming up against several alternate reality versions of current MCU characters. We find this to be extremely exciting because it could easily be used as an intro point (or a chance to say farewell) to previous Non-Disney versions of characters, as well as a possible entry point for long-loved Marvel storylines like House of M or Marvel Zombies. If we’re really lucky, maybe we’ll even see the Maestro version of the Hulk!
