After what seems like years, but was really just months, of teasing, Dwayne Johnson has officially announced that he’ll be playing Black Adam in the upcoming Warner Bros/ DC Comic Shazam Movie.
Here’s the announcement he tweeted out along with a pic of Shazam and Black Adam fighting:

Right now the Shazam film is slated for 2016. There’s nothing else really known about the film yet, but it will need Johnson’s help if it’s going to succeed. Shazam just isn’t really that interesting a hero.
