‘Echo’ Trailer Sets Up MCU’s First TV-MA Disney+ Series

There’s been a ton of rumors floating around about the long-delayed Echo series from Marvel, but we got our first look today and there’s no denying that it looks a lot better than anyone was expecting. Honestly, there were plenty of rumors suggesting that the show was going to get shelved altogether. Instead, we got an engaging, bloody trailer that revels in the fact that it is as TV-MA as any of the Netflix Marvel shows.

Does this mean that the show is good? We want to believe that it will be, but the fact that they are dropping the entire thing on one day is not a good sign. If Disney believed they had a real hit on their hands, they’d draw it out over several weeks of viewership. What we do find interesting is that the show is slated for release on both D+ and Hulu. We can’t help but wonder if the two streamers will be getting different versions of the final product. Disney+ has been dinged several times already for removing blood from the Netflix Daredevil show. They even covered Daryl Hannah’s butt in scenes of the streaming release of the 1980s film Splash!

Echo stars Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, Vincent D’Onofrio as The Kingpin, Chaske Spencer, Graham Greene, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Zahn McClarnon, and Cody Lightning.
