Call it homemade, call it sweded, call it whatever you like, Tim Hoekstra’s shot-for-shot remake of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is something magical. In fact, with the amount of love that went into it and the fun you can see Tim and his friends had, one could argue that between this version and the original, the remake has the high ground.
To create this “masterpiece”, Tim and his buddies spent a week film over 650 different shots, created 110 visual effects, and spent four months editing. They improvised on nearly all the props and did the stunts themselves. Compact cars are now ships and mop buckets have magically become our favorite Astromech, R2-D2. All in all, it is a thing of beauty. If you’ve got an hour and forty five minutes to kill today, you should definitely check it out.
