Late last night news broke that Universal’s long search for a new Jason Bourne is over. After looking at actors like Joel Edgerton, Dominic Cooper, Garrett Hedlund and Luke Evans, they’ve decided that the actor to replace Matt Damon will be none other than Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner.
With movies like Hurt Locker in his past and The avengers in his near future, you know he’ll have no trouble handling the action in the films and with movies like “The Town”, you know he’s got the acting chops.
In this movie, Renner will play “an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne.”
I’m up for anything Renner, so let’s have at it and hope that it doesn’t suck. Has anyone seen his Dahmer movie? I haven’t had the chance to see it yet, but it’s going on the Netflix queue.
