Last week, we all lost our collective S#1^ over the footages that Ben Affleck leaked of Deathstroke. Now, we’ve got a few more details, including the name of the man in the suit. That will be none other than Joe Manganiello. We also know that he’ll be going up against Affleck’s Batman in the upcoming Batman film, and not in Justice League.
This is interesting for a couple of reasons. First, Manganiello has been waiting for something like this for a long time. He had gone up for the role of Superman for Man of Steel and lost it to Henry Cavill. There have been many stories about what a personal blow that was to the actor. Also, on a complete side note, it’s actually kind of weird, but there’s a decent resemblance between Joe and Manu Bennett, who played Slade Wilson/ Deathstroke on CW’s Arrow.
After seeing him play the world’s nicest guy in the most recent Pee Wee Herman movie, it’ll be nice to see him get to play in the villains sand box for a while.
